We provide full laboratory support in the field of introducing products to the market in accordance with the law and current CLP / REACH regulations. For private label products, we will develop MSDS cards (product safety data sheet) and propose the content of the label – so that it complies with the current legal regulations.
Founders (Waldemar & Bartosz) studied together at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Five years after graduating, they met again. It was in 1999 – a time of great transformations in Poland. They had no money so decided to do something great – a toilet air freshener, gel smelling of real fresh fruit.
They believed that the time of counterfeits and cheap stuff would end, so they focused on quality from the beginning.
For all their savings, they bought a dispenser and an agricultural mixer, which they jointly adapted to the production of a toilet gel. This one product was going to decide whether they would make it and be successful or fail.
From the very beginning, the money they earned was spent on further development and expansion of the company. Back then, there were no loans in Poland or investors ready to invest in.
They decided that their would be distinguished feature would be usage of best quality fragrance compositions. They wanted to create elixirs that would make customers smile. And this was also written into the basis of the company’s name: ELiXir.
Their first major export customer knew exactly what he was looking for. He personally tested each sample he received in his car. Samples which caused him a headache, he immediately threw out of the window. If he couldn’t guess the name of the scent without reading the labels, the samples landed in the wastebasket. After six months, he invited Founders to the meeting. They made it. To these days they are close friends. And so it started. Today export sales exceed 80% of total sales.
It was a windy April day in 2019. The neighbouring company workers from the business next door had just finished work and went out on one last cigarette break. An cigarette butt, probably carried by the wind flew under Founders building and started a fire. The entire factory and all the machinery burned. „It was the nicest smelling fire” said one of the firefighters involved in the firefighting operation. There was no time for discussion. The reconstruction plan and its immediate implementation was all that was important. Come the end of May they sent out the first shipments, still made by hand or on borrowed machines. They overcame this together: the entire ELiX team, their suppliers and their customers. Currently, all production is carried out on new machines only.
In the winter of 2021, the snow lay for an unusually long time. One phone call turns a quiet evening into decision time. There is an offer to buy almost 8,000 m2 of land with production buildings in an ideal location – close to the airport and the freeway. The price seemed reasonable, the documents seemed OK. However, everything was under a thick layer of snow. Might the owner want to hide something and that is why he pressed so much about time? Faith in people, however, pays off. We bought it. Everything was as agreed. We are very pleased with our new location.
